ENERGY ANALYSIS OF DESIGN OPTIONS

Using the latest version of EnergyPro, Gabel Associates will develop a detailed computer model of the building. After refining the base case model, we will run the DOE-2.1E hourly energy simulation using appropriate climate data. We will then look at several different "what if" scenarios which include different sets of energy measures. Comparing these different runs will present an accurate picture of relative annual energy usage for natural gas and electricity, as well as annual energy costs. The design options may include combinations of envelope, lighting and/or mechanical system energy features.

Gabel Associates also has the capability of running the Micropas and eQuest energy software.
