SAVINGS BY DESIGN AND ENERGY STAR INCENTIVE PROGRAMS

Four major California utility companies - Pacific Gas and Electric Company, San Diego Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison Company and the Southern California Gas Company - offer a variety of energy incentive programs throughout the state overseen by the California Public Utilities Commission. For residential buildings, there is an Energy Star Homes program supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

For commercial buildings, there is the Savings By Design program. Savings By Design has a performance option which requires that buildings exceed Title 24 energy Standards by a specified percentage. To learn more about these and other energy incentives, go to:
